In breve

  • Nessun account. Niente registrazione, niente email, niente password.

Quattro cose, e nient’altro.

In memoria, poche ore, poi sparisce

I tuoi diritti

Scrivi a customers@eraktive.com: rispondiamo entro 30 giorni.

Privacy policy

Kirveno has no accounts, never asks for your email, and does not know who you are. But some things do leave your phone, and this page says exactly what, to whom, and for how long.

Effective 28 August 2026 · version 1.0

The short version

  • No account. No sign-up, no email, no password. We have no way of knowing who you are.
  • The times are worked out on your phone. Sun, moon, golden hour, blue hour: all the astronomy is code running on your device, even in flight mode.
  • Coordinates do leave when the app shows you the terrain profile or the sky forecast — but rounded to about 110 metres before they go, and with nothing that identifies you. Your exact position never leaves the phone.
  • The camera records nothing. In the viewfinder the image exists only on screen: no photo is taken, nothing is saved, nothing leaves the phone.
  • Ads come from Google (AdMob), which receives your device's advertising identifier. It is the one real collection that happens, and it disappears when you unlock Pro.
  • No analytics, no tracking SDK. We do not measure what you do in the app. There is no dashboard of your movements, because the data to build one does not exist.

Who processes your data

The data controller is Eraktive di Yuri Gagliardi, registered at Via Daniel Bovet 9, 20073 Opera (MI), Italy, VAT IT09213360960.

For anything concerning this policy or your data, write to customers@eraktive.com.

What stays on your phone and never leaves

These live only on your device. We do not receive them, do not store them, and have no way to read them:

What leaves your phone

Four things, and nothing else. The app talks to one server of ours, at kirveno.eraktive.com, always over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

WhatWhen and whyKept
A random device identifier On first launch. It is a random number generated on your phone, not linked to you or to your Apple or Google account. Its only job is to remember that this device paid for the unlock. As long as the unlock is valid
The coordinates of the place you are looking at To find out how high the ground stands all around — the feature that tells you the sun disappears behind the ridge before the almanac time. Rounded to a ~110 m cell, with no link to you
The coordinates and your golden-hour windows For the cloud forecast on the evenings you care about. In memory, a few hours, then gone
The purchase receipt When you buy or restore the Pro unlock, to check the purchase is genuine. The transaction code, as long as the unlock is valid

With every request our server also sees your IP address, as happens with anything you open on the internet. We need it to make the connection work and to limit abuse. We do not use it to build profiles.

Coordinates: what actually happens

This is worth being precise about, because it is the most sensitive thing we touch. When the app asks for terrain or sky, it rounds your position to a cell of about 110 metres and sends that: the exact coordinate stays on the phone and is never sent to anyone. Nothing is given up by this — the terrain profile is worked out for that same cell, so the extra precision would not change the time you read by a single minute. From there:

In practice: we know that someone, at some point, asked what the ground looks like at a spot. We do not know who, and we do not keep it in a form that would let us find out.

Who we send it to

We do not sell or hand over data to anyone. The parties below are the only ones who receive anything, and each receives the minimum needed to do its part.

Google AdMob — the ads

In the free version there is a banner at the bottom of the screen, served by Google AdMob. Google's SDK, inside the app, receives directly: your device's advertising identifier, your IP address (from which Google derives an approximate location), technical device information, and your interactions with the ad. Google uses this to select and measure ads under its own policy.

Two things you can do:

Geographic and weather data services

Both calls come from our server, not from your phone: they receive a point on the map and nothing else, without your IP address and with no way to tie that point to a device or a person.

Apple and Google, for purchases

The purchase happens on the App Store or Google Play, and both companies handle their payment data under their own policies. We never see your payment method, your name, or your address.

To check a purchase is genuine: on Android the transaction code is sent to the Google Play API; on iOS the receipt is signed by Apple and our check happens locally on our server, verifying the signature without contacting Apple.

What we keep, and for how long

Why we are allowed to (legal basis)

Your rights

The GDPR gives you the right to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict its processing, object, and receive it in a readable format. Write to customers@eraktive.com: we answer within 30 days.

One awkward but honest point: having no accounts, we cannot verify that a given device identifier is yours. The only piece of data about you that we hold is the row tying your purchase to that device. If you ask us to delete it we will, but the device will go back to counting as unpaid: to get the unlock back, use Restore purchases, which rebuilds it from the receipt Apple or Google keeps for you.

If you believe we handle your data improperly you can complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority, or to the authority in the country where you live.

Where processing happens

Our server is located in the European Union. AdMob is a Google service which may also process data outside the EU, on the basis of the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Children

Kirveno is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes

The date at the top says when it was last updated. If we changed anything substantial — a new kind of data, a new recipient — we would say so inside the app, not only here.
